Ryan is a Mechanical Engineer with 20 years’ experience in the resources, heavy industrial and ports sectors and is experienced across multiple commodities, specialising in battery and tech metals.
He is the market Principal for the battery and tech metals sector within Wave International and provides oversight and governance across Wave International’s feasibility study delivery.
Ryan collaborates with and consults to various companies (upstream and downstream) in the supply chain, looking for strategic opportunities and solutions to supply side efficiency and growth. His network and exposure across the industry includes finance institutions (equity and debt), market intelligence consultants, end users, trading houses, explorers and existing producers.
Ryan regularly presents at various domestic and international battery and tech metals conferences. His major focus is finding financeable development solutions for critical minerals assets.
Some of Ryan’s key work includes the development of lithium hydroxide conversation capacity outside of China, integrated lithium chemical capacity in Europe and Canada, Natural graphite developments in Australia and Africa, development of downstream natural graphite anode material capacity outside of China, and vanadium developments incorporating vertical integration into the VRFB supply chain.
