BMA – BLACKWATER MINE

Scope

Wave were commissioned to support BMA’s Blackwater mine on the Haul Road Compliance, Stockpile Pad Improvements, ROM Access Road, and Heavy Vehicle (HV)/Light Vehicle (LV) Separation civil infrastructure projects.

Description

Haul Road Compliance: Wave provided the detailed engineering of the 30km haul road assessment and conceptual design to support a mix use of vehicles.

Stockpile Pad Improvements: due to mining capacity increases, Wave redesigned and made improvements to three stockpiles.

ROM Access Road: modification of the existing ROM access to cater for new haul truck road trains.

Heavy Vehicle/Light Vehicle Separation: Wave developed and designed the separation of HV and LV traffic on certain sections of the site haul road which included the design of the stormwater infrastructure, review of the structure capacity and the clean and mine of affected water separation.
