60,000 LMT Caustic Bladder

Scope

Wave were commissioned to deliver a concept study of a Caustic Corrosive Products facility designated as a Corrosives Under Blanket Storage (CUBS) suitable for the receival by ship, storage and road tanker load out of liquid caustic soda.

Description

The concept study involved the liner and cover, leak detection/recovery system, fill manifold and discharge suction and layout diagrams as well as the geotechnical study.

As part of the scope of works, Wave provided the overfill protection strategy and the maintenance and leak repair strategy and also completed the engineering design for the Storage Geo Tank which included the liner and cover, floating roof structure, leak detection and recovery system, suction and discharge piping, pigging station and piping, fill manifold and discharge suction.
