Wave have been active in the lithium market since the mid-2000s. As a provider of engineering services to the Greenbushes mine for many years, Wave (its partners and key personnel) studied, engineered, delivered and commissioned into production spodumene concentration capacity.
Wave’s activity in this sector is both in the development of traditional graphite projects and value-added downstream products for the battery sector.
Our traditional study, engineering and project delivery expertise is applied to this sector internationally.
Wave’s key personnel have extensive hydrometallurgical experience and have been actively involved in the research and development of alternative processing technologies with potential application to the extraction of cobalt.
This space has seen an exponential growth in demand for rare earths elements, which are critical in the fields of clean renewable energy such as wind turbines, electric/hybrid vehicles, health care, digital devices, consumer electronics, aerospace and defence.
Wave identified the future need for new vanadium supply some years ago, and has engaged with key strategic projects which can support this market need in a sustainable fashion.
