INFINITY LITHIUM – SAN JOSE LITHIUM PROJECT

Scope

Wave International were initially appointed by Infinity Lithium to complete a trade-off study on production of either LiOH or Li2CO3 from their San Jose mica project in Spain. 

Wave were appointed due to their downstream expertise and connection to the demand side of the market. 

The study scope included an assessment of available process technology, block flow diagrams, CAPEX, OPEX, and economic analysis of each potential product (including multiple product options). 

Description

Wave commenced a scoping level study to evaluate the economics of the LiOH plant including flowsheet development, basic engineering, CAPEX/OPEX estimates and economic evaluation. 

This was followed by another appointment to complete a PFS for the Project. This work included metallurgical testwork management, further flowsheet development, PFS engineering, value engineering exercise, and final capital and operating costs.

The San Jose Lithium Project shows a robust, long life, project which is positioned to meet Europe’s future demand
