XSTRATA FILTER PLANT AND CONCENTRATOR UPGRADE

Scope

Provide the capital estimate and concept layout for a capacity upgrade to the zinc filter plant and the detailed design of the XYZ concentrator upgrade (flotation circuit) at Xstrata Mt Isa Mine.

Description

Originally engaged to provide the capital estimate and concept layout for the upgrade to the zinc filter plant, the client then requested Wave to proceed through to the PFS study and was then selected to complete the detailed design for the upgraded facility and associated materials handling and storage infrastructure.

Wave’s scope included process engineering and all discipline detailed design.

Further to the technical design, Wave provided extension project management, on site engineering and commissioning support to project completion.

The plant consisted of predominantly greenfields works, along with brownfields tie ins and a filter building extension.
